Italian Art Deco 1935 Cocktail Ring In .925 Sterling With Coral And Onyx
About the Item
An Italian art deco ring.
Beautiful colorful ring, created in Milano Italy during the art deco period, back in the 1935. This ring has been crafted with geometric stepped patterns in solid .925/.999 sterling silver with high polished finish. It is embellished with natural gemstones such; a black onyx and a vivid red Sardinian coral from the ox-blood variety.
Coral: Mount on top in a bezel setting, with 1 oval cabochon cut (12 x 9 x 5 mm) carved from natural Sardinian red Coral of 3.91 carats.
Onyx: Mount on top in a bezel setting, with 1 oval cabochon cut (22 x 14 x 6 mm) carved from natural black onyx of 13.47 carats.
Birthstone: For the month of April.
Weight: 13.80 Grams, (8.47 Dwt).
Size: 8 and may be sized on request.
Measurements: 28 mm by 16 mm (1.10 x 0.63 Inches) and rise 14 mm over the finger
Hallmarks Stamped with Italian marks; the maker's mark, the mark for the assay of the silver and signed, "*8MI .825".
Ox-blood coral
The carved coral displayed in this ring is magnificent, from the ox-blood variety. Display great saturation and even unspotted surfaces. Red coral, or Corallium rubrum, is a branch-forming coral species found in the Mediterranean Sea close to Sardinia and is the most valuable of all precious corals.
Collateral: It is accompanied by a presentation jewelry box.
Condition: The overall condition of this ring is excellent. Beside the little normal wear, there is no damage to the silver. All gemstones, are secured in the settings. This piece has been carefully inspected to guarantee the condition and the authenticity.
