About the Item
This handmade ring features precious cabochon cut rubies, sapphires, and emeralds set in 18-karat gold. The total carat weight of the precious gems is 18.91 carats. The ring comes with an original certificate from Michael Zobel, dating 1996. Signed Zobel, 96. Stamped 750, Zo.
This ring bears no resemblance to the 1st dibs chart of "similar cocktail rings." It is far superior in precious material, uniqueness, and design. It is an heirloom in the making.
Working with a range of materials, including fine gold and sterling silver, and precious gemstones like ruby, and sapphire, Michael Zobel's designs uniquely highlight the expression of each stone. He refers to his practice as “painting with metal and precious stones”, and only creates a piece once. Jewels by Zobel are rare. With over 50 years of jewelry design, Zobel has collected many awards, won many jewelry competitions, and is held in acclaimed collections such as the Museum of Fine Arts Boston.
