Natural Australian Boulder Opal / Diamond Set Dangle Earrings and Ring 18k Gold
About the Item
“Deep Love” opal (12.46ct) earrings tell a story of an ocean dive. Diamond air bubbles appear to lift these beautifully paired opals to the surface of an imaginary ocean. Sourced from our own mines in Jundah-Opalville and set in 18K yellow gold, they match their namesake ring. A perfect anniversary gift.
The gemstone at the centre of this opal earrings is an Australian boulder opal from Opal Minded's own opal mines in Jundah-Opalville in Queensland. Its distinctive quality is its "play of colour," a phenomenon which manifests in opal's colours shifting and changing as the gem moves. Australian opals, in general, are the quality benchmark for the world family of opals owing to their durability and beauty. Opals from Jundah-Opalville are known for their superb quality.
Mysterious and magical, “Deep Love” opal ring is evocative of an ocean dive on a lazy summer day. A superb 17.53 carat pipe opal from our own mines in Jundah-Opalville is the star of this bold and impressive cocktail ring. The unusual 18K yellow gold setting with its flash of twinkling diamonds make this piece is something special. Designed by Renata Bernard.
Pipe boulder opal is an organic-matter-replacement opal that forms in iron-ore bearing rocks. Its distinctive quality is the "play of colour" present in mostly translucent gem material, a phenomenon which manifests in opal's colours shifting and changing as the gem moves. This particular opal is transparent and attached naturally to the host rock in which it was found. Outstanding in size and quality, its play of colour is suspended in the otherwise transparent opal matter, which makes for a fascinating water-like effect.
