Rare Bicolor Indicolite Tourmaline & Diamond 18K Ring

About the Item

This is one of our newest rings. It's rare too! Did you know tourmalines come in over 16,000 colors. This is a bicolor indicolite (bluish) tourmaline. One half is bluish green (slightly greener); the other half is greenish blue (slightly bluer). Rare by itself, the cut is what sends this ring up over the top... A master lapidary has cut this into a 'pixelated' masterpiece. Any movement of this ring generates hundreds of faceted sparkles. It's really a "wow" and deserves a diamond designer ring setting comprised of 18K (solid) white gold and over a carat of clean, clear, colorless diamonds - even diamonds on the basket. We designed this setting to complement the incredible nature of this important gemstone. The photographs were taken in direct sunlight, so that you can see the closest accurate depiction of this tourmaline's beautiful color and cutting. Gemstone: Natural Bicolor Indicolite Tourmaline Clarity: Eye Clean Weight: 6.18 carats Size (L x W x D): 10.95 x 9.10 x 6.49 mm Cut: Custom Pixelated (by a master lapidary) Origin: Mozambique Treatment: None (no heat, etc.) Color: Rare Bicolor Indicolite, Bluish Green Setting: Metal: Solid 18K White Gold Accents: Diamonds Weight: 1.20 carats Clarity/Color: VVS-VS Clarity; F Color Size: 6.5 (we offer complementary sizing on our jewelry) Tourmaline is the birthstone of October, and is a hard, durable gemstone suitable for everyday wear.

  • Rare Chrome Sphene & Diamond 18K Ring
    Located in Mill Valley, CA
This is a rare and spectacular sphene. Its origin is Madagascar, and due to its chromium content, the color is a magnificent green with major rainbow sparkle. The color for sphene is rare, and usually sphenes are included, but this one is eye clean and has major light prismatic dispersion. Also known as sphene titanate, this is one of the world's most spectacular gemstones. This gemstone has a very high refractive index, and a dispersion (prismatic effect) that far exceeds diamonds. It is commonly referred to as a "Christmas tree flash". Bright sunlight gives you the 'rainbow' color flashes. This gemstone's rare clarity, color saturation and size (above 1 carat is rare), make it one of the rarest of the sphenes. We designed this setting that complements sphene's color and sparks with a 2-sided halo around the gemstone [one with large diamonds that face up, one with smaller diamonds that are at a 90 degrees]. We added a satin finish to draw the eye to the sparkling diamonds and magnificent sphene! Made by women for women. Gemstone Natural Chrome Sphene...
