About the Item

A fine and impressive vintage 3.29 carat natural emerald and 1.75 carat diamond 18 karat white gold cocktail ring; part of our diverse range of gemstone jewelry. This impressive vintage oval cut cocktail ring has been crafted in 18k white gold. The substantial pierced decorated frame features a central oval cut natural emerald, claw set in relief to the center of the circular design. This central gemstone is encompassed with twenty-four modern brilliant round cut diamonds, totalling 1.75Ct. The outer circumference of the cluster design is embellished with twelve claw set round cut natural emeralds, creating a scalloped edge. The feature swept shoulders blend in to the plain hallmarked 18k white gold shank. This vintage ring is hallmarked to the interior of the shank with the maker's mark, the gold guarantee mark (crown), the 18k gold fineness mark -750, the London Assay Office hallmark (leopard's head) and the date letter for 1975 (A). This large emerald and diamond cocktail ring is supplied with an independent diamond grading report card. "Rather than regarding inclusions in coloured stones as harmful, in small sizes and numbers that do not in any way detract from their beauty, they should be regarded as adding to desirability, for they provide identifying characteristics." Condition This multi-diamond ring is fine quality, very high colour graded and high clarity graded diamonds displaying a fine white color, brilliance and presence. This cocktail ring is an impressive example with natural emeralds; although these are a low grade, they form an impressive arrangement. The vintage diamond and emerald cocktail ring is a very good gauge of gold and in excellent condition, with very clear London hallmarks to the interior of the shank; the maker's mark is partially worn. Reflections in photographs may detract from the true representation of this fine example of vintage emerald jewelry/estate jewelry.
