Vintage Square Omega Watch Ring
About the Item
This is a wonderful Vintage Omega watch ring. It features a square face with a gold dial, black hour markers and black hands. The watch has most of its original parts including the dial, face and hands but the crown has been replaced at some point. The watch has an 18ct yellow gold case and a plain gold split shank.
The case of the ring was originally part of a bracelet watch. The case was removed from the bracelet and masterfully reimagined into a ring with a shank by the antique jewellery restorer/re-designer Gaetano Chiavetta.
Omega classic timepieces have been worn by many influential people over the years and have played a pivotal part in history by being the first watch on the moon in 1969. Due to their durability and reliability they were used by the British and American army in 1918 and have been the official timekeeping device of the olympic games since 1932.
