YI Collection Jade & Ruby Globe Ring
About the Item
This is the one of the only jade pieces from our collections. This gemstone looks royal and chic. The ruby band emphasize the white gemstone and gives it a modern twist.
Not all jade is equal. This is a rare jadeite gemstone, which is the highest quality of all jade. It is said to bless whoever it touches. It has a 6,000 year history of being worn as jewelry. Traditionally we think Jade to be green but they come in a variety of colors. We have selected this rare variety of jadeite for its purity and strength. This elegant modern design can be worn from day to night seamlessly.
This ring has been handmade in 9k gold for its durability in wear. Jadeite weighs between 5.50ct-6ct. Rubies weigh .34ct-.45ct depending on the size of the ring.
YI Collection
Yi began her styling career over 10 years ago in New York City. Her adventures in the far east began when she was given the opportunity to move to Shanghai, her birth place. She spent her first 3 years in Shanghai as Style editor at Vogue China. Having helped create beautiful images with photographers from around the world, but never being able to call those images her own, she decided to create something beautiful and tangible. Inspired from her travels to Sri Lanka and Myanmar, the sapphire and ruby capitals of the world, she decided to create a small collection of fine jewelry inspired by gemstones.
These beautifully handcrafted pieces exude a simple modern elegance that reflect Yi's personal aesthetic. The pieces were designed to shine on their own or to be worn together for added effect. All the gemstone are hand selected from the best sources in the world. No two gems are exactly alike. Each gem brings the wearer a kind of magic rich in history and folklore. Each piece of YI Collection fine jewelry is unique, much like its wearer.
