Victorian Purple Star Sapphire Ring, 1890s

The centre stone of this lovely Victorian ring is a purple star sapphire. The sapphire is natural and a transparent stone with a beautiful star that is well centered and shows a distinct and crisp 6 ray star. The weight of the sapphire is ca. 7 carats and it is surrounded by old rose-cut diamonds.
