About the Item
Colombian A.G.L. certified Emerald with minor traditional treatment. Possessing an A.G.L. certificate means that this emerald was examined by a national leading gem laboratory that has certified its findings in a report.
This fine emerald is accented by 24 fancy cut diamonds weighing an estimated 2.76 cts. The diamonds are all estimated to be G/H (Near Colorless), and very slightly included (VS). The hand crafted ring by Pierre/Famille is 18K gold and weighs 18.3 grams. The ring is a size 7 and can be resized.
Large and important, this center emerald is unusual in the marketplace today because of the rarity of such a large Colombian emerald having only minor traditional treatment. In the market today, nearly all, 99%, emeralds are treated. The treatment grade is usually found to be moderate and significant which is why this emerald is rare being -minor. Traditional type enhancement (which this stone has) is preferable over modern treatment.
The emerald is slightly included which is not unusual for emeralds. The inclusions are internal can be seen with the unaided eye. These natural inclusion structures do not reach the top of the stone.
The emerald color is a bright medium to green color. The heart shape is well cut. The fine white diamonds are set well in a channel.
