About the Item
Marvelous marquise shaped 13.71ct Amethyst in gold rhodium over Sterling Silver ring. This lovely amethyst comes to us straight from one of our favorite Brazilian vendors. It is perfectly set with the end tips protected and the sides open to the light. It sits in a basket high enough off your finger to match the depth of this lovely gemstone which is 23x12MM. Amethyst is the February birthstone and is said to protect from intoxication and evil spells. It will calm your spirit and give you focus. Pure quartz is colorless, but the most prized variety is Amethyst, the purple variety. It's always been considered a 'royal color' and is featured in the British Crown jewels. It was also a favorite of Catherine the Great and Egyptian royalty. For centuries this beautiful gemstone has been considered a symbol of power. No changes by seller. Martha and Kathy met while living in Rio de Janeiro and they have been design partners and friends ever since.
