Late Victorian Ruby and Diamond Ring
About the Item
A late Victorian ruby and diamond ring, the central oval-cut ruby weighing 0.61cts with two old brilliant-cut diamonds to top and bottom, linked by diamond-encrusted crescent motifs and diamond-set shoulders, the diamonds estimated to weigh a total of 0.66 carats, circa 1890, later hallmarked 18ct gold London 2016, finger size K 1/2, gross weight 2.9 grams.
This ring is in excellent condition.
This gorgeous Victorian ring was made at the end of the nineteenth century and comes from the collection of Bentley & Skinner, the London jewellers by appointment to both Her Majesty the Queen and His Royal Highness the Prince of Wales. This delicate ring features wonderful diamond crescents enclosing a trio of rubies and diamonds. The central ruby is deeply coloured and wonderfully bright, and the two diamonds above and below the ruby are lively and sparkle beautifully. This romantic Victorian piece would make a unique and eye-catching engagement ring.
