Ceylon sapphire and diamond three stone ring. Set to centre with an oval old cut natural unenhanced Ceylon sapphire in an open back claw setting with a weight of 8.87 carats, flanked by two triangular brilliant cut diamonds in open back claw settings with a combined approximate weight of 1.20 carats, to an impressive three stone design featuring double claw, an open geometric gallery, and fancy shape opn backholing, leading to smooth shoulders and flowing through to a solid flat shank. Marked 18 carat white and yellow gold, circa 1970, accompanied by Gubelin report #22020002.
