Edwardian 18k/Platinum Ruby and Diamond Halo Ring
About the Item
A gorgeous ruby and diamond halo ring from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! This outstanding ring is crafted in vibrant 18k yellow gold and topped in platinum. The piece features a central Burmese round cut ruby, which has an approximate carat weight of 2.24ct and is held within a ten-prong setting. The ruby is bordered by a halo of 10 old European cut diamonds, which have an approximate total carat weight of 1.20ctw and are prong set. Each shoulder of the ring also features a single old European cut diamond, which is bead-set and together have an approximate total carat weight of 0.03ctw. All of the diamonds display G/I color and VS2-SI1 clarity. The remainder of the band is smooth and simple. The ring was appraised in March of 2025 by a GIA-certified appraiser, and has a stated retail replacement value of $36,000. A magnificent ring, this piece would make a colorful and unique engagement ring!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size 6.25, but could be resized.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold or platinum settings. All of the stones are secure and intact.
