Antique Micromosaic Bird Conversion Ring of 14k Gold
About the Item
A marvelous ring featuring a micromosaic of a bird -- possibly a red headed woodpecker.
The mosaic was originally an antique silver pin (circa 1880) transformed by backing the piece in gold, and adding a 14k gold mounting.
The face of the ring measures 0.6 inches by 0.7 inches wide, and it is in very good condition with some light wear to the blue glass on the exterior of the mosaic.
The ring is a size 5.75, but can be resized for an additional charge.
The metal content of this ring was verified via XRF (x ray analysis) and with jeweler's acids.
Note: The antique box in the photo is for display purposes only and is not included with the ring.
