About the Item
Antique Victorian 18K gold ring centering a very fine natural blue zircon weighing an estimated 7.50 cts. This oval stone is intensely brilliant and a vivid blue color and free of inclusions. This Victorian ring is from the last quarter of the 19th century. It has fine hand engraving and a "bloom" finish. It is a size 8.5 and can easily be resized. Natural blue zircons are very old stones. It has been used in jewelry for thousands of years and is mentioned in the Old Testament. Intense bright blue color is the most popular and seen most notable in jewelry from the 19th and early 20th. Natural zircons are second only to diamonds in their brilliance and scintillation.
