About the Item
Beautiful heaven blue vintage 'Bergslagen stone' ear rings and silver ring set from Sweden 1980s. The lovely pair of ear rings are made by Opifors AB. (sign: OPI)
The decorative silver ring by Ove Nordström HB in 1987. (sign BON L10). Good vintage condition. Measures ear rings: 2 cmL x 0.7 cmD. Size ring: 18 mm.
The light blue Berglsagen stones has various shades of blue color and are originally the "leftovers" of products of the iron production. This has been used in Sweden since the 18th -9th centuries. The slag floats on top and is discharged from the blast furnace before the metal. The slag comes in all kinds of colors and structures. The color can change from light blue over clear blue and dark blue via green to black.
