Imperial Jade Men's Ring Midcentury Certified Untreated Jadeite Size 8
About the Item
This "imperial" jade ring was originally created in the Midcentury -1940s-1950s- by T. Y. Lee & Co., a highly respected Hong Kong jeweler that first opened in the 1920s. The jewelry was of such high-quality, that the United States government recommended it to American servicemen who were in Hong Kong and wanted a special piece of jewelry to bring home.
And special this ring most certainly is. The 14K white gold setting is in pristine condition, free from any signs of a previous resizing or even the ordinary wear one would expect to see. But the real star of the show is the 13.5mm x 9.2mm oval cabochon of certified natural and untreated emerald-green Burmese jadeite jade. Jade rarely comes finer than the stone you see here. And although the term "imperial jade" is a subjective one, I believe the stone featured in this spectacular men's ring is worthy of the title.
The ring is currently a size 8 and could be resized by your local jeweler.
The ring ships with a certificate from Stone Group Labs stating that the jade is untreated jadeite from Burma (Myanmar).
