18 K yellow Gold Ring with blue Enamel and Snake motif that belonged to world famous actress Maria Schell (15.1. 1926-26.4.2005). From the esate of Maria Schell's daughter Marie Theres Relin.

Maria Schell was born on January 15th, 1926 and died on April 26th, 2005. She was a terrific actress, a world star, was known for her laughing-while-crying quality and coined the audience during the post-war years with her hope and her spirit. As an icon of her times, she portrayed real people with emotions and was
one of the few German speaking actresses that achieved an international career and made it all the way to Hollywood, starring in films directed by Helmut Käutner, Wolfgang Staudte, Luchino Visconti, René Clement and side by side with O.W. Fischer, Marcello Mastroianni, Yul Brynner, Curd Jürgens, Marlon Brando, Gary Cooper, Glenn Ford, Jean Marais and many more.
This ring is part of her life's jewellery wich consisted of two bracelets and this snake ring. There are hardly any photos of her without wearing her these pieces of jewellery.
