This is an elegant Victorian era ring, featuring the popular Scottish stone of banded agate. The banded agate is smooth and could be engrave with a personal sign or emblem, potentially making it a signet ring. The oval and smooth banded agate gemstone measures 3/8 by 5/8 of an inch. It is a very dark blue color, and the sides, where one can see the rings of the agate, is a darker black color. The carving is depicting the profile bust in low relief of Artemis "the huntress" facing to the right, with beautiful hair, draped with classical ropes and holding a bow and arrows.
Gemstones: Mount in the center in a semi round bezel, with one intaglio cut carved in low relief from natural translucent orangish carnelian of 6.5 carats.
