Edwardian 18K/Platinum Sapphire and Diamond Three Stone Ring
About the Item
A beautiful sapphire and diamond ring from the Edwardian (ca1910s) era! This gorgeous piece is crafted in 18k yellow gold and platinum, and features three stones running horizontally across the front of the ring. The center stone is an oval cut sapphire, which is held in place by a six-prong setting. The stone displays a lovely dark, rich blue hue, and has an approximate carat weight of 1.15ct. The sapphire is bordered on both sides by two old European diamonds, which display K/L color and SI1-SI1 clarity. The diamonds are also held within six-prong settings, and have an overall approximate total carat weight of 1ctw. The gallery of the ring features intricate scrolling cutout motifs, which add to the feminine appeal of the piece. The band of the ring is smooth and simple, and the inside of the shank is stamped with a "750" purity mark. A truly magnificent, and colorful piece, this ring would make for a lovely engagement ring or anniversary gift!
Measurements: The ring has a finger size of 6.75 could be easily re-sized. The band measures 1.5mm.
Condition: The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting, and the sapphire and diamonds are all secure and intact.
