Russian 'Horsetail Inclusion' Demantoid Garnet & Diamond 18K Ring

About the Item

This beautiful gemstone ring has one of the rarest and most sought-after gemstones – The Russian Demantoid Garnet. This garnet has a gorgeous color... it's a perfect emerald green. We love this gorgeous gemstone’s color and gemmy sparkle. Demantoid garnets are rare - and really beautiful. They are one of three jewelry-quality gemstones that have a higher dispersion than a diamond (major rainbow sparkle). Russian demantoids are now in colored gemstone connoisseurs collections as the mines in Russia are depleted. Right now demantoid garnet is from Africa (if you can find any). This gemstone features the famous 'horsetail' inclusions pinpointing the Russian Urals origin. This is such a superb rare gemstone that we put it in our 3 stone setting, flanked with beautiful 1/2 carat round diamonds and smaller diamonds on the baskets of the 3 gemstones. It's solid 18K yellow gold which compliments the beautiful green color of this gemstone. Whether you wear this ring as an engagement ring or a right-hand ring, it's a superb collector's piece. Garnets are strong gemstones and suitable for everyday wear. Setting: 18K yellow gold Diamonds: Clarity/Color: VVS2/H-I Cut/Shape: Round, brilliant, full cut (57 facets) Weight: 1.01 tcw (approx.) This is a rare and spectacular sphene. Its origin is Madagascar, and due to its chromium content, the color is a magnificent green with major rainbow sparkle. The color for sphene is rare, and usually sphenes are included, but this one is eye clean and has major light prismatic dispersion. Also known as sphene titanate, this is one of the world's most spectacular gemstones. This gemstone has a very high refractive index, and a dispersion (prismatic effect) that far exceeds diamonds. It is commonly referred to as a "Christmas tree flash". Bright sunlight gives you the 'rainbow' color flashes. This gemstone's rare clarity, color saturation and size (above 1 carat is rare), make it one of the rarest of the sphenes. We designed this setting that complements sphene's color and sparks with a 2-sided halo around the gemstone [one with large diamonds that face up, one with smaller diamonds that are at a 90 degrees]. We added a satin finish to draw the eye to the sparkling diamonds and magnificent sphene! Made by women for women. Gemstone Natural Chrome Sphene...
