Antique French Belle Époque Sterling Silver Cup and Saucer Set by Pierre Gavard
About the Item
A very fine French sterling silver tea or coffee cup and saucer.
By the noted 19th century Parisian silver and goldsmith - Pierre Gavard.
With hand chased, swirled rib decoration throughout.
A central cartouche has an engraved monogram and is flanked by decorations of cattails and flowers.

Overall Condition:
It is in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with some light dings or indentations here & there, some noticeable edge wear, some very fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.

Struck to the cup rim and saucer base with the 1st standard Medusa head mark and with Pierre Gavard's mark to the cup's base.
