About the Item

Exceptional Asparagus/Pastry server in sterling silver. The sophistication of this design and the quality of workmanship is typical of that of the Maison Cardeilhac. The curved blade has engraved with foliate decoration. An architectural fantasy decoration on the stem and handle. No monogrammed. Hallmarks : Head of Minerve 1 st titre for 950/1000 French Sterling Silver guarantee. Prestigious silversmith : E.Cardeilhac 91 rue de Rivoli - Paris Suffice it to say that the family Cardeilhac was active in the silversmithing from 1802 to 1951 to glimpse the importance of this manufactory ! In 1951, the Maison Cardeilhac was absorbed by the Prestigious Maison Christofle who continues to produce Cardeilhac models including the "Trilobé" model, which is the most prestigious and expensive of all the french silversmith pattern. The Maison Cardeilhac has exhibited and won medals in most exhibitions of the XIX th century. It is a cutler who became one the most important french manufacturing-silversmiths of all types of cutlery rich and silverware. Gold Medal "class cutlery", Universal Exhibition of 1878 , Silver medal in the section "silverware", Universal Exhibition of 1889 Bronze medal for these works fine cutlery, Damas steel.
