Antique sterling silver cup with gold wash interior by George Angell of London, England, circa 1854.
Engraving appears to be Mijs Stell
Repousse flower and scroll design cup featuring scroll feet and a delicately curved handle with gold washed interior. Engraving on a cartouche surrounded by scrolls and a flower.
Measures approx 3 1/2" high to the rim, 3 3/4" high to the top of the handle, 2 1/2" diameter, 3 3/4" wide from the end of the handle to the other side of the rim.
Weighs approx 125.0g, 80.4dwt.
Marked lion (sterling silver hallmark) leopard(city mark for London) GA (George Angell makers mark) T (date mark for 1854) Queen Victoria head (duty mark)
Very nice condition with some slight surface scratching and tarnish. Gold wash is slightly fading.
Will come packaged in a gift box or pouch when possible, and will be shipped US Priority Mail with insurance.
