About the Item
A fine pair of Italian modernist vases.
In hand-hammered sterling silver.
Designed by Angelo Mangiarotti.
Produced by Cleto Munari in an edition of 300.
Mangiarotti (1921-2012) was an Milanese-born architect and designer who was at the cutting edge of Italian design in the 20th Century. He had his own architecture firms in both Milan & Tokyo and also taught architecture internationally throughout the United States, Europe, & Australia. Mangiarotti also had friendships with many of the other architectural titans of his time, including Frank Lloyd Wright, Walter Gropius, & Ludwig Mies van der Rohe.
Both pieces are signed and numbered 61/300/04.
