A WITNESS TO A NEW CHAPTER
This high-end chronograph was first unveiled in 2013. As part of a large-scale crowdfunding campaign, anyone interested could become part of the oldest watch manufacturer in Switzerland by purchasing shares. The DBF001 thus stands as a symbol of tradition, innovation, and exclusivity — with a strictly limited collection of timepieces.
Each DuBois et fils watch is limited to 99 pieces.
CHRONOGRAPH WITH LARGE DATE AND METICULOUS ATTENTION TO DETAIL
The DBF001 dial is highly intricate, featuring three distinct levels. The numerals are individually hand-applied, one by one, and the large date mechanism is composed of two separate discs.
The case is made up of five individual components, all screwed together. This complex manufacturing process achieves a remarkable alternation of polished and satin-finished surfaces.
A distinctive feature of DuBois et fils watches can be found on the caseback screws, which are engraved with the outline of the brand’s logo — the fir tree.

The DBF001 impresses with its complex case, intricate dial, and the large-date mechanism developed by Dubois-Dépraz. Founded in 1902 in Le Lieu, Vallée de Joux, this small manufacture has long specialized in highly sophisticated watch complications. In 1975, Dubois-Dépraz, for example, developed a wristwatch movement featuring a five-minute repeater. Over the years, the company has supplied renowned brands such as Patek Philippe, Eberhard, Heuer, Breitling, and Valjoux.
