This is such a rare and spectacular watch!! I just can't say enough about the beauty and style of it. The watch was work keeping accurate time and now it stopped. Due to this I think it could be fixed to run consistently. But again, there are not guarantees on a watch this old. I can send you a video of it running. Just request it. It comes with original extra links to make it longer. You can see them in the photos. Another amazing point. The watch is solid Platinum and is 6.13 inches long and the band is 9 mm wide. The case is 21 x 14 mm. I have 2 appraisals, one appraising the value at $9,850 and the other appraising it at $9,875. This is a one-of-a-kind piece and has extra links which is extremely rare. A very prominent watch repair gentleman with decades of experience took the watch apart and looked over the parts and he and his partners told me that this watch was handmade and they seemed certain it was made prior to 1920. The movement was made by Fortis, a Luxury Swiss Watch Company and the watch itself is an ALPHA brand watch. The great thing about this watch is that the face is clean and large so you can easily read the time. which is not always true with antique or vintage watches. The watch has 32 round diamonds totalling 1/2 carat total weight. They measure 1.5 mm. The color is H and the Clarity is SI. The band has 17 square cut sapphires totalling 2.25 total carat weight. They measure 3.0 mm and the color is strong and the clarity is good. The watch is 15.6 DWT and weighs 24.61 grams which includes the movement and extra links. It weighs 20.24 without the movement. There are some scratches on the inside of the case. The crystal appears to be in very good condition and I can't see any scratches with my naked eye. This watch can just be worn as a piece of gorgeous antique jewelry and it comes with a very nice jewelry box.
