Paris Drout - Salle n° 5
By Jacques ROHAUT
Located in Atlanta, GA
Official Painter of the Navy appointed in 2010.
Official Painter of the Armies appointed in 2000.
Official Painter of Air and Space appointed in 1996.
It was friendship and then the discovery of the art of painting that prompted Jacques Rohaut to visit Philippe Lejeune's studio in Etampes in the 1970s during his law studies. He also worked for a restorer of paintings. Emulation within what has become the "Etampes School" allowed him to continue the necessary learning before making many personal exhibitions: the first in 1984, at the Taylor Foundation (Paris), then at the Orangerie de Villeroy, at the VIP lounge for ministerial air links in Villacoublay, in Düsseldorf, at the Saint-Roch gallery (Paris), at the Musée de l'Ordre des Avocats (Hôtel de la Porte in Paris), at the Hôtel du Conseil Général d'Eure et Loire (Chartres), in the Jehan de Beauce tower of Chartres cathedral, at the Etampes Museum, at the Inès Bonlieu gallery,
Guest of honor at several Salons in the provinces, he also regularly participates in major Parisian Salons: French Artists, Autumn, Comparisons.
His profession as a lawyer practiced in Paris for thirty years, within the firm Ader Jolibois, inspired him many paintings of which the judicial life and the courthouses were the pretext; his country of birth, Morocco, allowed him to rediscover the lights that usually make up his paintings; the air and the sea are another source of inspiration.
Among the main distinctions he has received: Bronze medal at the Salon de la Marine, Gold medal at the Salon des Artistes Français, Prix de la Fondation André et Berthe Noufflard...

A Moment of Grace
Located in Atlanta, GA
I was born in Atlanta, Ga. in i948 and have always lived in the South. The rich tradition of storytelling is in my blood and it is impossible to ignore its influence on my narrative paintings.I am the director of my own tale and must create the characters, the setting, and the poetic tensions implied between the characters and the viewer.
My paintings are done on canvas or museum board in a realistic manner with much attention to detail. I
have created a technique of layering oil paints and varnish that give the surface a unique technical aspect, one that visually reflects the many levels at which the narrative can be interpreted.
The paintings begin with the seed of an idea and a strong fascination and empathy for the central character. One can rely on conscious judgements concerning composition, whether to paint the figure nude or elaborately costumed ,and the use of one's own personal symbols and icons. I believe that only when the artist moves into uncertain territory and listens to her own private language, can she
move beyond mere painting. Artist Statement C.Dawn Davis

Located in Atlanta, GA
Kfir Moyal, a native of Israel, is a Miami-based pop artist. His iconic, pop culture inspired, crystal-encrusted paintings and silkscreen artworks mark his signature style. Each of Moyal’s dazzling portraits is made with crystal elements that are hand-applied on the canvas. They have earned him a significant fan following among art lovers, with many custom artwork commissions for high profile celebrities. The works embody the materialization of pop star qualities through the examination of aesthetics, sex appeal, desire, beauty, prestige and popularity. They present the viewer with an up-close likeness of the world’s most recognizable celebrities and brands, putting them face-to-face with the objects of their affection and admiration.Although Kfir pursued business management in Israel, in 2008 he moved to the United States to establish a career as an artist. Having always had an avid interest in art and art history, and a desire to work with his hands, creating art was his life’s calling. It was through hard work and a fiery passion that his artistic path opened up.Now an established pop artist, Kfir has developed a presence in fine art galleries worldwide. He has gathered an impressive celebrity clientèle, and has created commissioned paintings for a long list of personalities including the Kardashians, Paris Hilton, Jonathan Cheban, You Tube...

Born in 1964, Nebojsa Bezanic was predominantly influenced by the 1980s. The generation of artists that grew up in, and took inspiration from, the nineteen eighties was influenced by a period of quickly growing global capitalism, political upheaval, significant wealth discrepancy, global mass media and distinctive music and fashion, including electronic pop music and hip hop. The 1980s was the era of African famine, the height of the Cold War, and also the end of it, as marked by the fall of the Berlin Wall. significant art movements of the era include Neo Geo, The Pictures Generation and the global trend of Neo-Expressionism which manifested in Germany, the USA and Italy (where it was known as Transavanguardia). The decade was exemplified by artists like Anselm Kiefer, Jörg Immendorf...

A natural ability for art runs in the Marshall family. Neil’s late father produced some excellent ink drawings many years ago. Art college beckoned in 1972 having been prolific in art at school, some pictures featuring exhibitions at this early stage. However, engineering provided a safer option for a career choice. The direction into becoming a draughtsman and design engineer was a rewarding period before entering the management of engineering and production facilities.
Local history has always been a major interest in his life. In 2007 he published a local history now and then format book in colour called “Gosport Reflections” which sold out all 3000 of the print run. The following year he produced a second book in the same format called “Portsmouth Reflections” this also sold out the print run which was 5000. There was no time for art...

Le Carlin, 2009
By Antoni TAULÉ
Located in Atlanta, GA
Taulé was born in 1945 in Sabadell, Barcelona. His father imparted the taste for painting to Antoni as a boy as the young artist watched him paint. After his primary studies, he began studying architecture in Barcelona and graduated in 1970. In 1965, he arrived in Paris and worked in architectural firms. It was Sartre's Paris, the construction of Unesco, the year of Le Corbusier's death and the end of Chandigarh, the French Cinematheque and Antonioni's films. Since the age of 14, he has never stopped painting and made his first personal exhibition in 1966 at the Academie de Belles Arts in Sabadell.
Upon receiving his degree in architecture, he worked on the construction of l’Université autonome de Barcelone for a year. In 1971, he was asked to work on the development of a large shipyard on the small island of Formentera. There he met Laetitia Ney of Elchingen, who he would go on to marry. He devoted himself entirely to painting, and Formentera, like Paris, became one of his favorite places in both his life and to work.
His first exhibition in Paris was in 1975 with Mathias Fels, presented to him by Hervé Télémaque—showing many paintings of his young daughter Djamilla, then three years old. The exhibition was titled, Espace hors temps (Space out of Time), with a foreword by Alain Jouffroy. In 1976, Taulé exhibited Contre-Jour (Against Day) at Fabien Boulakia on rue Bonaparte with a preface by Gérald Gassiot-Talabot and in Barcelona at the Aimé Maeght gallery—an exhibition visited by Joan Miró and Alexander Calder. In 1977, he exhibited at the Beaubourg gallery, with then associates Nahon and Trigano. In 1983, he met Jorge Luis Borges and Julio Cortázar, who wrote the novella Fin d’étape (End of Stage) for Taulé That same year, he was named Chevalier de l’Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters) by Jack Lang.
From 1983 onwards, Taulé worked for the theater, with The Three Sisters by Anton Chekhov...

Located in Atlanta, GA
Dominique Mulhem was born in Neuilly-sur-Seine June 13, 1952.
1975: Training at the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris.
His painting refers to pop culture and art Ownership (art) by his inspiration. His technique was initially very pop art with the use of the bomb and stencils and more hyperrealistic with airbrushing to become a modern pointillism.
It was the first multimedia artist inventing in 1979 the holopeinture where he mixed paint holography. He had to work in the early 70s on the different 3D rendering techniques.
Beyond its highly representative form, his painting is primarily conceptual. The themes are the lives of people and things, without limit in treated subjects. All the work of Dominique Mulhem has the same theme : the concept of simultaneous vision. “The look from inside” as Pierre Restany said.
