This pair of armchairs came to us from a friend, descendant of a traditional familiy in Geneva, Switzerland. Her grandfather was a renowned doctor in the city. Geneva was a very honorable christian-calvinistic place that time. When the first brothel opened in the 1920ties, it became an immediate huge scandal. The cathouse had to close on the next morning. The doctor, father of our friend aquired some of the furniture, amongst them this lovely pair of armchairs.
The armchairs are restored, stable, and ready to use. The velvet is a linen by Maison Charles Burger...
