Created in Japan during the midcentury period, this vintage wedding box features a reddish brown lacquer perfectly accented by a gilded hand-painted décor depicting bamboo sticks with their leaves and delicate flowers. Created to be part of the extensive wedding trousseau provided to the daughter, this chest showcases a linear silhouette perfectly complimented by a dark reddish brown lacquer. A rectangular lid is adorned with ornate brass corners.
