A desk clock designed by Tiffany & Co. A beautiful and elegant easel back desk clock, created in New York city by the Tiffany & Co. studios, during the art deco period back in the early 1920. This rare piece has been designed in a squared curvilinear shape and carefully crafted up in solid sterling silver .935/.999 . The watch is gilded and is fully embellished with applications of purple-violet and white enamels over a geometric guilloche patterns. It is fitted at the reverse, with an easel back retractable hinged stand. Movement: Is Swiss mechanical wingding, 8 days. The dial is creme-white with arabic golden numerals and with black hands and inscribed, Tiffany & Co. Swiss. Weight: 180.95 Grams, (1115.99 Dwt). An magnificent, fine and impressive, large antique Victorian English sterling silver spirit kettle made by Barnard & Sons Ltd, an addition to our antique silver teaware collection. This magnificent antique Victorian sterling silver spirit kettle has a six paneled urn shaped form onto a hexagonal paneled spreading pedestal foot. The surface to this large spirit kettle is embellished with exceptional bright cut engraved foliate festoons incorporating quatrefoil leaf motifs and suspended from rosette designs to each edge. The decoration to the body incorporates two oval cartouches, one of which remains vacant. The cartouche to the anterior surface is embellished with a contemporary bright cut engraved crest of an antelope's head couped, charged on the neck with four mullets in cross, and holding in the mouth a rose, slipped and leaved, displayed below the motto 'Nil extra numerum'- Nothing is beyond reckoning up*.
