Recessed Discussion Stream - Contemporary, 21st Century, Sculpture, Sculpture
By Liam Gillick
Located in Zug, CH
Liam Gillick, Recessed Discussion Stream Plexiglas and MDF Edition of 30 12 x 50.1 x 20 cm (4.7 x 19.7 x 7.9 in) Signed and numbered on Certificate of Authenticity In mint condition, as acquired from the publisher PLEASE NOTE: Edition numbers could vary from the one shown in the pictures. The pictures shown are only for illustrative reasons, the piece is offered unframed. Gillick’s work exposes the dysfunctional aspects of a modernist legacy in terms of abstraction and architecture when framed within a globalized, neo-liberal consensus. His work extends into structural rethinking of the exhibition as a form. He deploys multiple forms to expose the new ideological control systems that emerged at the beginning of the 1990s. "By making the abstract concrete, art no longer retains any abstract quality, it merely announces a constant striving for a state of abstraction and in turn produces more abstraction to pursue." -Liam Gillick Gillick’s work has had a profound impact on a contemporary understanding of how art and architecture influence, and are themselves influenced by, interpersonal communication and interactions in the public sphere. This colorful Plexiglas...

Rastersonne - Contemporary, 21st Century, Gold varnish, Limited Edition
By Otto Piene
Located in Zug, CH
Otto Piene, Rastersonne Contemporary, 21st Century, Gold varnish, Limited Edition Gold varnish on clay Edition of 99, each piece is unique 47 x 47 x 2 cm (18.5 x 18.5 x 0.8 in) Stamped and numbered, accompanied by Certificate of Authenticity In mint condition, as acquired from the publisher Fire, earth, and metal: these elementary forces played a very important role in the oeuvre of Otto Piene. After many years of artistic productions in 2006, he discovered a new material for his artworks: ceramic. "With my artworks I want to transmit energy” — Otto Piene He created wonderful mural reliefs in ceramic. He dropped viscous varnish through different raster-barriers on a prepared clay platter. Not only the setting of the platinum drops creates the individual and unique look of each work but also their convex and interleaving forms. The slight convexity of the platinum varnish drops reflects the light and gives the artwork a discreet white shine. With the mélange of archaic and modern elements, Piene achieves an impressing artwork with this powerful material. OTTO PIENE Otto Piene is one of the most important German post-war artists. In 1957- Otto Piene and Heinz Mack founded the group ZERO. Otto Piene is one of the most important German post-war artists. Born in 1929 Otto Piene was brought up in Lübeck (Germany) and, after his studies at the Academy of Fine Arts in Munich and Düsseldorf, he completed his academic education with studies on philosophy at the University of Cologne. In 1957- Otto Piene and Heinz Mack founded the group ZERO; which Günther Uecker joined in 1961. Their aim was to create a recommencement of contemporary art, starting at the point ZERO with new artworks emphasizing predominantly on light. Piene primarily aimed in his artworks to visualize light, fire, and air; so he started to create Op-Art inspired raster paintings, followed by smoke and fire...

LOVE (Authorized replica, official stamp of Indianapolis Museum of Art & artist)
By Robert Indiana
Located in New York, NY
Robert Indiana LOVE (Sculpture Stamped with Indianapolis Museum and Artist Stamp), 2009 Brushed Aluminum (Gold) Stamped with Artist's Copyright & Indianapolis Museum of Art/2011 Morgan Art Foundation/ARS, NY Stamped/incised w/text: "Authorized Replica/Robert Indiana/LOVE/Indianapolis Museum of Art/2011 Morgan Art Foundation/ARS, NY 3 × 3 × 1 1/2 inches Unframed Since first appearing on the Museum of Modern Art’s 1965 Christmas card, Robert Indiana’s “LOVE” quickly permeated the popular imagination, appearing everywhere from life-size sculptures to government-issued stamps. The design’s appeal was timeless, yet also emblematic of the idealistic and free-loving 1960s. As art legend has it, Indiana was first bemused and later conflicted about the instant runaway success of his design, worried that it may have ruined his reputation among the art world elite as a one-hit wonder. Despite the artist’s private insecurities, “LOVE” remains one of the most treasured works in 20th-century American sculpture—breaking $4.1 million at auction in 2011. Another edition from this authorized, artist approved series recently sold at Christie's in Paris for over $12,000. LOVE (Limited Edition Artist Authorized, with Incised Indianapolis Museum of Art & Morgan Foundation Stamp and Artist Copyright). This is a limited edition artist authorized miniature of the Indianapolis Museum of Art's giant outdoor...
