About the Item
This little and nice sculpture is a cardholder. Cardboard and newspaper print are the materials.
The recycled paper of the newspaper represents one of the first times when the word "to recycle" was used.
The tree that give a card is a gesture of love towards the nature and the men.
The set is useful as placeholder. The table setting become funny and contemporary with the artworks on a dinning table.
This set of sculptures is a multiple limited edition not numbered realized in 1980 by the Italian artist Renato Borsoni .
All the pieces are completed by the Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist and the Editor who made the artworks.
Renato Borsoni was born in Santa Maria Nuova di Ancona in 1926. He has been an influential figure in the North Italian theatre culture, featuring as an actor and creative director in reknown companies beside. He also directed his own graphic Design Studio where he has been a key figure in developing communication strategies by curating the visual image of many important companies and enterprises.
He also published a book. The title is "Friezze Scomposte" edited by la Quadra.
