Things To Do When You Think You Are Alone , Madrid
Voyeuristic videos can seem creepy, especially when they show women undressing. But a hint of female empowerment and early-pandemic nostalgia comes through in PIXELATEDME’s work when you read the description of how the series “Things To Do When You Think You Are Alone” was made, during the COVID lockdowns of 2020.
“I create this series with models around the world, using their own phones and the internet,” the artist writes. “I gave them general directions but left to them the final decision on what to do in the final videos.” So, the subjects are in control of the voyeurism; they are the camera operators and the performers. It’s ultimately up to them what we see

PixelatedMe is a storyteller using Photography 3D and video to create staged images which are alternately playful, often mysterious, thought-provoking, and at times disturbing.
He has a background in architecture and fashion photography. Born in Venezuela he lives in New York
His works has been part of several group exhibitions, including Creative Distancing at Art Museum of South Texas, International Photography Exhibition at The Glasgow Gallery of Photography and Affordable Art Fair at Metropolitan Pavilion, New York
