A NEW ETHIOPIAN KITCHEN
Addis Ethiopian Kitchen is nestled on the Historic Bayou Road, New Orleans’ oldest road and a cultural hub of black-owned businesses. Wanting to pay tribute to African tradition, while making a dining room that feels current, the design team referenced traditional African patterns, colors and textures to create a fresh visual language for this family-owned restaurant. Comfortable and communal, diners of Ethiopian food share a platter; it was important that this dining area reflect this idea of community, home and ease, but also feel modern and new.
