This two-floor penthouse in Greenwich Village is designed to be light and luxurious while complementing the building’s art deco character. A restrained and muted palette is used throughout the space to act as contrast and counterpoint to contemporary art and furniture. Details such as cream hand-painted lacquer walls act as the backdrop to a custom brass, copper, and walnut hexagonal table positioned beneath an oversized Baccarat chandelier. A deco-style brass stairwell showcases a vibrant wallpaper installation by artist collective Assume Vivid Astro Focus. Hand-painted malachite ceilings create pattern surrounding the living room within which a range of vintage minimalist pieces to modern European and American designers.
