Jackson Square Residence

Family Home by BCV Architecture + Interiors in San Francisco, CA

Combining two modern condo units in San Francisco's historic Jackson Square neighborhood, this urban family enclave features a grand main salon with dramatic cityscape views. The salon is the home's social center and serves as a living room, music room, dining room and gallery for the family’s photography collection. Off this room is a sky-lit kitchen with contrasting Wenge cabinetry and Carrara marble counter tops. An elegant breakfast alcove completes the room.

On the other side of the salon is the library, with persimmon orange walls that provide a strong counterpoint to the subdued whites and silvers of the salon. The main hall of the home is treated as a long linear art gallery, featuring both three-dimensional objects and works on paper. Each bedroom and bathroom reflects the personality of the individual family members.
