Libbey House

Family Home by Studio Shamshiri in Ojai, CA

Interior design of architects Myron Hunt and Elmer Grey’s first Craftsman-style project, built in 1908. The goal was to create a comfortable, modern, family oriented design that would resonate with the beauty of the surrounding area and pay homage to early California days. We worked with furniture that, while not necessarily from the era, was inspired by it: pieces handcrafted from materials that aged gracefully by designers such as George Nakashima, Alma Allen, Micheal Wilson and Adam Kurtzman, among others.
