South of France

Beach House by Carden Cunietti in Cap d'Antibes, FR

Carden Cunietti were brought on to the team as Interior Designers to this large scale new build project in the South of France – the brief was to create a glamorous and inviting house to be used all year round for family and friends.

The concept was to combine Asian influences with colour and texture to compliment the very modern architecture. We worked with the client’s collection of artefacts and art that had been discovered on their travels in the Far East. We supplemented these with vintage pieces such as the Mastercraft four poster bed in the master bedroom, the vintage lights in the cosy laid back reception room and the Brazilian prototype chaise rocker. We created bespoke custom crafted furniture using interesting materials such as teak, onyx and mother of pearl.

Carden Cunietti designed all the exterior furniture working with garden designer Luciano Giubbilei. The land formerly housed greenhouses for the perfume industry of Grasse. Giubbilei’s theme of lavender is reflected in the butterflies that run through the designs and art throughout the house.
