Southbury Lakehouse

Designed as a retreat away from city life, this lakeside Cape Cod-style home in Southbury, Connecticut stands in perfect harmony amidst the woods with an inimitable sense of serenity. Our main inspiration was to create an escape for the mind to wander, explore and unwind - to travel beyond bounds.

The shared sculptural quality found through an array of fixtures and furniture is a common language that weaves the space together, a thoughtful opposition in form and materiality. At its core, the project is a study of light rooted in the foundation of the space. Natural composition takes the lead to define atmosphere and respective spatial planning. We like to imagine the experience in this idyllic setting as a place where new memories will continuously be forged over the years to come.
