The Oaks

This project is a Montecito style Spanish home located in Calabasas, California and designed by Michael Ostrow of Grace Home Furnishings. The owner wanted a clean, crisp look for the house; with her preference being contrasting black and white. It is always a challenge working with such a stark palette, but we brought warmth to the house through the soft and tactile materials – a zig zag cowhide rug, sheepskin pillows and faux fur upholstery on the chairs. We also added character to the home by mixing modern and traditional furniture. The very soft, off-white palette pulled it all together.
