Linnet was renown for fine and delicate work. He made jewelry for Queen Victoria. The ring is a standout. This ring is hallmarked for 1822, London with the makers mark JL. It is enamel on gold with a curved square frame and centered by a diamond. The diamond is like a framed portrait that stands out on the black background. It is 05 cts. with a North Star twinkle. In its setting the size can only be estimated. The shank engraved all around states In Memory of. Inside the inscription tells some history about Miss Jane Fitzherbert. The Chinese Export armorial porcelain oval dish with overall Bianco Supra Bianco has a central Rococo armorial coat of arms centered with three garlands with the motto "His Ornari Aut Mori" below. The armorial surrounded by scattered flowers and four shaped gilt bordered panels on the shoulder with two bouquets of famille rose flowers and two of fruit.
The motto translates as To be adorned with these, or to die, referring to the three wreaths in the coat of arms, woven of olive, laurel and oak leaves. The three leaves representing sapientia, doctrina ac rei militaris peritia, "wisdom, learning and military expertise."
The reverse with a bamboo band with fruit and flowers with scattered flowers to the top, bottom, and each side.
The gilt rim on the border now rubbed.
Dimensions: 16 1/2-inch-wide x 13 3/4 inches deep x 1 1/4 inches high

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Georgian English sterling silver and glass ladies inkstand; an addition to our ornamental silverware collection
This exceptional antique George III sterling silver desk Standish has a navette shaped form onto four bracket feet.
This inkstand is encompassed with an applied thread decorated border, in addition to the contemporary engraved initials 'WW'.
The rim of the body of the sterling silver inkstand is ornamented with a paralleling applied reed decorated border.
The internal wirework style frame of the stand is divided into three rounded supports.
Each internal compartment retains the original rounded glass bottles with cut glass ornamentation in addition to impressive scalloped bases.
The ink, pen/quill and pounce bottles retain the original plain silver cylindrical mounts fitted with push fit hallmarked covers.
The rim of each circular cover is encircled with applied moulded borders and bears the corresponding functional pierced decorated holes.
This large silver ink Standish was crafted by the renowned London silversmiths Henry Chawner.
Such original ladies examples, in perfect condition, are becoming increasingly difficult to locate.

These fine antique George III sterling silver coasters have an octagonal shaped form onto a stepped base.
Each coaster is embellished with a band of pierced and pin struck decoration to the upper portion and plain pin struck borders to each panel.
The decoration to the body of each piece incorporates a pin struck bordered shaped cartouche displaying a contemporary bright cut engraved crest.
The coasters are fitted with fine and impressive turned mahogany bases.
Each coaster retains the original green baize to the underside.
These impressive Georgian coasters are highly desirable due to design and medial size.

This magnificent set of 12 antique George III sterling silver plates has a plain circular form.
The raised border is embellished with an impressive bright cut engraved crest of an arm in armour embowed, holding in the hand a scythe in bend Dexter.
Each antique plate is ornamented with a fine and impressive gadroon decorated border to the rim.
The circular well of each plate is plain and unembellished.
The underside of each plate retains the silversmith’s centre punch mark.
These exceptional Georgian plates were crafted by one of the most famous and revered London silversmiths Paul Storr.
The surface of each plate has a fine color and patination.
