They offer a reasonable flat-rate fee for delivery and set up to the ground floor of your home. They deliver to the vast majority of the lower 48 states. They offer a flat rate for most of our items with exclusions for the largest or most complex items such as breakfronts or crystal chandeliers or other items of greater complexity. Most deliveries to the East Coast will be 295.00, to the mid-west and Southern mid-west 395.00. To the areas west of Kansas 495.00 and the farthest points to the West coast will be 595.00. Again, some areas we can't cover, however we can deliver to most of the lower 48 states so please inquire to be sure! Delivery times range from as fast as 1-4 weeks for the east coast to 5-9 weeks to the farthest areas of the west coast, sometimes longer and sometimes even shorter. MSRP for custom pieces such as this from Habersham hover around the 10-12,000 USD region. Habersham was founded by Joyce Eddy in the small Georgia town of Clarkesville. In 1969, she took a job operating a small antique shop located above an old laundromat. She began crafting small cigar boxes and decorative purses to sell in her antique shop and by 1972, her handmade items had become so popular that she named her new furniture design venture "Habersham." Joyce's output soon included candleholders, towel racks and other practical "small" items. By 1975, Joyce had expanded her offerings to include handcrafted furniture that reflected and celebrated the American Country designs of the 17th and 18th centuries. By the end of the decade, Joyce employed numerous woodworkers steeped in the cabinet-19th century making traditions of the North Georgia area and designed a furniture factory that worked just like the workshops of earlier centuries, with individual artisans that hand-finished, signed and dated each piece of furniture. This piece begs a lot of questions. Some will remain unknown, but we'll do our best. First, take a broad, sweeping overview and lets all just agree this cabinet is beyond amazing. Even if medieval neo-goth and emo aren't your thing, you must appreciate the solid mahogany construction, dovetail joinery and attention to detail. To the best of our knowledge, this piece appears to be American made Neo Gothic / Gothic Revival from the 1960s or 1970s. Ornate brass hinge and pull accented cabinet door frames outline an interior of lattice giltwood over burgundy / gold textile. Leather "windows" frame the textile on the top and bottom. Directly beneath is a single drawer with large, oxidized rivets that secure a dragon motif crest dyed into a thick scroll of leather. Brass medallions punctuate each side of the drawer.
