Dreaming in color (2023), 19,5x45,5 cm, Watercolor on Paper Fabriano 600 g, by Italian contemporary artist ©Annemarie Ambrosoli (ICA, International Certified Artist) Dreaming in color is part of a series of watercolors painted on 600 g Fabriano cardboard. It is a pleasant paper to paint, many glazes are allowed to achieve a particular result. The colors used by Annemarie Ambrosoli are complementary but well used and the glazes give strength to the scene. People cross the scene in an orderly manner. A dreamy atmosphere is perceived in the painting. The lilac clouds at the right and left side of the watercolor and the green pillars, which balance the scene, convey a magical atmosphere to the viewer The Fabriano Paper is fine grain The work is framed with black passepartout and glass. The black frame measures 32,5x57,5 cm, the frame thickness is 4 cm The framed watercolor painting is carefully packed in a wooden box Hand-signed by the Artist front lower, dated and signed on the verso of the paper Certificate of Authenticity included issued by the artist Annemarie Ambrosoli's figures are a symbolic representation of the human figure, which is simplified and stylized. The third dimension is eliminated, she paints flat figures, without shadows, with circles, shapes and where lively color predominates. In her paintings she likes to tell moments of everyday life, but her inspirations include the unexpected feeling and thoughts generated by poetry and music. Annemarie gives a lot of meaning to the mouth which is painted with few lines, but sufficient to convey to the viewer an emotion through the figure, that reflects the soul of the artist. The eyes are not important for the artist, while the mouth expressing an emotion is. Annemarie Ambrosoli plays with colors, shapes and symbols that everyone can interpret in their own way. The colors are vibrant, yet pleasing and in harmony She began painting as a landscape painter and she painted her landscapes outdoors in contact with nature.
