David Mack is a New York Times Best Selling author, one of the most respected creators in the field of comics, and his artwork has been the subject of undergraduate and graduate university courses in Art and Literature and hung in the Los Angeles Museum of Art. Mack has lectured at universities and taught classes in writing, drawing, and painting all over the world, including a Masterclass at the University of Technology in Sydney, Australia, Japan's School of Communication Arts of Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka, in Barcelona at the OFFFest presentation of trailblazing artists and designers, in Cincinnati as part of the prestigious TEDx series of educational seminars, and received an invitation to speak at Harvard as the Guest of Honor at their annual Science Fiction Writing convention. David Mack has toured and exhibited his artwork throughout Europe, Asia, and America with numerous gallery shows, and with book signing tours at premier bookstores in over a dozen counties. His figure drawings- executed in sumi-e brush while observing a live model- are his most intimate, immediate, and raw work. In 2013 David's figure drawings were exhibited with the works of Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt in two different exhibits in Los Angeles and Chicago. His intimate sumi-e brush paintings have been collected in a boutique art book, David Mack MUSE Life Drawings 2012-2014, published by Century Guild. "The immediacy of observation and instinctive line make these life drawings, for me, a very pure & primal expression of my work." -David Mack, 2013

The Dally Bear by Jeremy Bastian, Brush and ink on paper, 2010
Located in Chicago, IL
Jeremy Bastian’s “The Dally Bear”, ink on paper applied with a brush, 2010. Jeremy Bastian’s art is the very definition of a labor of love. From the intense scrutiny in his ornate linework to the whimsy and adventure injected into the subject itself, Bastian’s masterful brushwork and composition are stories unto themselves. Bastian is the artist and author behind Cursed Pirate Girl, “a whimsical, swashbuckling tale of wonderland journeys and unimaginable dangers, starting in Port Elisabeth, Jamaica in the year 1728, and quickly heading across - and beneath - the waves!” Praise for Bastian’s Cursed Pirate Girl: “It’s all too rare that I see work that is truly original- and I almost never see work THIS original- Jeremy Bastian is a genius.” -Mike Mignola...

Reclining nude, Gustav Klimt Handzeichnungen (Sketch) collotype lithograph, 1922
By (after) Gustav Klimt
Located in Chicago, IL
Original 1922 collotype lithograph of a reclining nude figure, created from Gustav Kilmt’s handzeichnungen (sketch). Published by Thyrsos Verlag, Leipzig and Vienna, in an edition of 375. Klimt’s mastery of depth is most evident in the gentleness of his linework. Without the aid of shadow or the subtlety of values, the gestures of line allow the viewer a sense of a three-dimensional person or object. The meticulous lithographic process used to create Klimt’s Handzeichnungen portfolio ensures exceptionally crisp markings bearing a strong resemblance to the original sketches. This series showcases the quintessence behind Klimt’s signature visual style. This artwork arrives accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. Century Guild has curated collections of Gustav Klimt’s printed...

Citation - black, white, abstracted figurative, brushed ink on paper
By Andrew Lui
Located in Bloomfield, ON
Brushed ink in grey and black leads the eye up the picture plane in this 55-inch tall painting on paper. The intense movement suggestive of rearing horses in this painterly work is in keeping with Lui's theme of pilgrimage in which he explores the idea of "self-inflicted happiness" as a deliberate response to the melancholy and complexity of life. This painting is floated and framed. Framed Size: 60 × 35 inches Born in Guangzhou, China, Lui participated in the Chinese Cultural Revolution as a member of the Red Guard 1968-70 and then escaped to Hong Kong by swimming. Making his way to Toronto he studied at the Ontario College of Art and became a citizen in the late 1970s. He continued studies in the UK, and Italy where he was drawn to the dynamic Uccello's Battle of San Romano...
