Image dimensions: 16,5x8,5 cm. The Discussion is an original artwork realized by Rivalta, in 1914. The state of preservation is good, except for some small holes on the back. Hand-signed (RIV.) on the lower right corner. China ink and watercolor drawing on brownish paper. The original sheet is mounted on a cardboard passepartout (49 x 34 cm). Carlo Rivalta (1887 – 1941) was an Italian painter and sculptor, known for his portraits characterized by a strong realistic connotation. He exhibited at the Venice Biennal. He became Honorary Academician of the Academy of Arts and Design of Florence in 1913. He was a teacher of Sculpture and later became the director of the Academy of Fine Arts in Florence. This object is shipped from Italy.
