Ink on Illustration Board Caricature Portraits of Andy Williams and Ann Margret to promote `The Andy Williams Special`, aired over NBC-TV on Friday, May 4, 1962, 9:30-10:30 p.m. EST and sponsored by Chrysler Corporation. Also featured on this glittering cavalcade produced/written/directed by Norman Lear and Bud Yorkin were guests Dick Van Dyke, Andy Griffith and Henry Mancini. The success of this scintillating special led to the launch of Andy’s long-running NBC variety series from Sept 27, 1962 to July 17, 1971. Cover art for the April 29th, 1962 cover of the The New York Journal-American Pictorial Magazine and TView Section, includes original copies of that cover and issue, 14" x 9 1/2" image, good condition.
