This artwork represents a naked woman attached a ladder.
Good conditions, light scratches and wear some structural issues. Cardboard around the dirty image and stained.
This interesting artwork shows a woman tied in a torture room. The title refers to the famous historical figure of Tomas de Torquemada was the first inquisitor of the Spanish Inquisition during the era of the Catholic Monarchs. Louis Touchagues was born in Saint-Cyr-au-Mont-d'Or, France, in 1893. Arriving in Paris in 1923, Touchagues traced the point of his pencil or brush, half a century of Parisian life. He collaborated with various illustrated papers and satirists. Touchagues was delegated by the Fine Arts as a draftsman at the first Peace Conference as well as the arrival of General de Gaulle in Paris. He illustrated many books of Colette, S. Guitry, Mr. Achard, Mr. Ayme, G. Duhamel. Touchagues' three albums, Women and models, Parisian and Waves in St Tropez, reflect his favorite subject, women.
