This extremely high-quality drawing by the Milanese neoclassical artist Luigi Ademollo (1764
- 1849), depicts the episode of grief and anger felt by Achilles bewildered by the death of his fellow
patroclus life and battle. It is one of the greatest climaxes of the Homeric Iliad whose
narration Luigi Ademollo became a master and highly original interpreter in the neoclassical cultural climate
european.
The drawing is in excellent condition, intact and free of defects and aporias that allow
fully to appreciate its great quality. Aspect that allows you to fully enjoy a specimen
refined among the artist's not many surviving drawings and most likely executed as a project
and proposal for level-headed patronage.
