Serene depiction of a country house with ducks milling around in the grass by Josh Fisher (British, 1859-1930). Signed "JOSH FISHER" in the lower-left corner. Presented in an ornate double mat labeled "Josh Fisher", with a gilded frame and glass. Image size: approx. 13"H x 19" W
Josh Fisher (British, 1859-1930) was a landscape and figure painter, and a black and white illustrator. Fisher studied at Liverpool School of Art, where he was a pupil of J. Finnie. Fisher was the president of the Liverpool Sketching Club in 1918, and his work is in the National Library in Wales. Gallery Tear sheet on verso
